The Answer to the Facebook Question

Bookmark and Share

Why do I run my facebook page I believe was the question.  Well it is NOT to attain clients and it is NOT to advertise the business what-so-ever.  In fact I am seriously thinking of changing the page name to EDRC - much less descriptive for posts.

Truth is I am in the process of retiring after 31 years of a successful career assisting ED clients recover from these devastating illnesses.  The past 3-4 years has been physically difficult including having 7 breaks in my back.  It occurs to me that I am not as reliable as I once was and I feel that is not fair to my clients.

So I am slowly retiring from a career I was truly passionate about for all 31 years!  (And I may sound a little egotistical here but I feel I still have much to offer those with ED's.)  All of my career I have worked to educate those interested.  I developed an eating disorder site for which i never allowed any advertising.  It was purely for support and education and remains as such.  You would be hard-pressed to find a topic not covered there that relates to ED's!  www.addictions.net is also one of the first sites on the web to provide information on eating disorders.

So there you have it - I'm not here to attain clients, I don't feel I need to prove anything, I'm not trying to advertise anything - I'm simply sharing my knowledge, compassion, and experience to help someone if they need it.  I know what works if you listen you listen - if not 'oh well' it's all a process anyway!

What I won't do is Debate with anyone - it is really a take it or leave it situation and it is entirely your choice.  I give you what I know is the truth and what works - you are welcome to do what you will with it.

The one thing I do know about ED Clients is that they have difficulty listening/hearing especially until they break down all the denial...I won''t be engaged in that.  But at the same time there are people who are hungry/ready to listen and hopefully what I offer helps them help themself!

Well that's all I have to say about that - Deb
